Compliance with German and European data protection regulations is a top priority for htk GmbH (hereinafter also referred to as “htk” for short). htk is part of the Global University System (hereinafter referred to as GUS) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In Germany, the following universities and academies are members of the network: University of Applied Sciences Europe (new name after the merger of BiTS Information and Technology School GmbH with BTK Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule GmbH) with locations in Iserlohn, Berlin and Hamburg, as well as the htk academy. We respect the sensitivity of our prospective students as well as existing students regarding the disclosure of personal information. We value your trust in the fact that we treat your data confidentially and sensitively. The following section describes our privacy policy. By visiting our website and using the services offered herein, you accept these terms and conditions and agree that we may use the information you provide accordingly. If you order a brochure online via our website, apply for a place or register as an alumni, we will need to ask for certain information such as name(s), address, email address, gender, telephone number(s) and date of birth. We will not share this data with third parties without separate consent, unless there is a need to do so in relation to the implementation of your training or the request made.

Disclosure of personal data

htk may pass on personal data within the GUS network (e.g. German universities and academies affiliated with the network, in the context of semesters abroad or other study programmes at partner universities of the GUS Group), provided that the data subject is interested in one of the study programmes offered, has consented to this or that disclosure is permitted by law.
From time to time, with your consent, we will send you promotional information, such as invitations to webinars, information about new courses of study, university events, etc. If you no longer wish to receive promotional materials, we will not send them to you. To the extent permitted by law and within the scope of users’ consent, htk may engage other companies to perform various tasks, such as fulfilling orders, supporting promotions, providing technical services to our websites, etc. These companies may have access to personal data to the extent necessary for the performance of their functions. These companies will only use personal data for the purpose of performing this specific task and not for any other purpose.
htk will not sell, transfer or pass on personal data to third parties outside the GUS Group.
htk reserves the right to provide information about personal data to law enforcement authorities and courts for the purposes of criminal prosecution within the framework of applicable legal provisions.
